Restricted Parking days & hours
Parking in the restricted area is restricted to vehicles displaying valid permits. Permits are required during the following days and hours:
• Monday through Friday, except holidays, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
• No parking from 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. on days streets are cleaned
Types of permits
• Resident & visitor permits
Each household in the Parking District may apply for a permit for each vehicle plus three additional visitor permits. There is no cost for resident or visitor permits.
• Employee permits
Each employee of a business in the Parking District may apply for one permit. There is no cost for an employee permit.
• Temporary permits
Temporary permits may be requested as needed and expire at the discretion of the administrator. There is no cost for temporary permits.
Restricted permit parking enforcement & guidelines
• All vehicles parked in the Parking District must display a valid permit. Permits must be visible from the exterior of the vehicle.
• Vehicles parked in the Parking District without valid permits will be subject to a fine. The amount of the fine will be determined by the Treasurer and will be payable to the Saint Louis Department of Revenue.
• The amount of fines levied against those parked illegally in the Disabled Only or No Parking areas is unchanged.
• Possession of a permit does not guarantee a parking place.
• Permits are for the exclusive use of residents, their visitors, and employees of businesses in the Parking District. Any person distributing a parking permit to any person, firm or corporation not authorized to display such parking permit shall have his or her parking permits suspended for a period not to exceed one year.
• If you move from the Parking District, your permit will no longer be valid.
• If you cease to be employed by a business in the Parking District, your permit will no longer be valid.
Where to get permits
Central West End Midtown Development is the non-profit agency assigned to distribute permits for the Parking District. You may apply for a permit by mail, fax, or in person. If applying in person, please call the office to schedule an appointment.

New applicants and renewing applicants with changes of address or vehicle:

• Copy of valid motor vehicle registration
• One of the following proofs of residency bearing your name and address:
• Valid lease
• Gas, electric, water, sewer, telephone, cable or credit card bill postmarked within the past 30 days
• Monthly bank statement postmarked within the past 30 days
Renewing applicants with no changes of address or vehicle:

Employees of businesses in the Parking District:

• One of the following proofs of employment bearing your name and the address of the company where you are employed:
• Letter from your employer
• Pay stub issued within the past 30 days
