Washington University Medical Center covers 230 acres in the heart of the 17th Ward. The center includes Washington University School of Medicine, Barnes-Jewish Hospital, St. Louis Children's Hospital, the Center for Advanced Medicine, Siteman Cancer Center, Central Institute for the Deaf, St. Louis College of Pharmacy, the Schools of Occupational and Physical Therapy, Barnard Hospital, the Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology and the Institute for Biomedical Computing.
